Can somebody help me translate the Declaratory Act of 1766 into Modern english?
In plain English this reads that the King George III and the Parliament have the power to make laws for the colonies. This includes taxes and duties which the colonies have to pay. The colonies are subordinate to the king and to the British Parliament.
