Do you think the benefits of an Islet transplant outweigh the risks?

I have been cleared for an Islet cell transplantation at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, headed up by Doctor Shapiro, and my endo Dr.Senior; I personally believe this will be far more positive than negative, but I just wanted the opinions of other type 1's.
