Can ovulation cause pain and soreness? Please answer!?

I experienced ovulation bleeding and this cervical mucus and now about 2 days later my uterus is really sore. If it's not ovulation what could it be? Could fertilization cause soreness? I have one baby and never experienced any of this. Please help. Could it be something more serious?
