How can I rekindle our relationship?

To sum it up, the guy I've been in love with for three years will not talk to me. He's loved me for those three years too, but we haven't been together becuase of different things (wanting something new, abuse, long distance) but we've always been best friends. He sometimes starts being really mean to me to try and push me away because he thinks I deserve better, but I don't want to be pushed away. He has my number blocked on his phone, and he doesn't respond to my voicemails, texts, facebook messages, or ims. When I started college (over 200 miles away from where he lives), my mom moved further away for work, so I can't just drop by his house on break because I can't drive. I've tried getting people to take me, but not of my friends have cars. He started blocking my calls when he got a new girlfriend, because she told him to stop talking to me because she knows he loves me (I've talked to her, she hates me because of it). I'm okay if he's in a relationship I guess, but I really want my best friend back. I've tried reasoning with him and telling him this but he ignores me. What should I do?
